This school year your student will gain free access to the entire Met Opera On Demand catalog of performances, a collection of hundreds of world-class video and audio recordings from live performances at the Met. While the vast majority of these operas have been vetted for television audiences on PBS, some may contain content incongruous with your personal values. Please exercise caution when allowing your child to stream opera productions unsupervised.

 

The educators in your community, along with the Met Opera Education staff, have hand-selected ten operas to teach this school year. Of these, your teacher has selected to focus on those operas that they find most appropriate for your child’s age and level. Please don't hesitate speak with your child's teacher for greater clarity regarding the content of any Met Opera production.
